CITY OF LAS CRUCES LEPC - serves as the link between citizens, industry and government in emergency planning and preparedness for the community. Members participate in exercises, training, seminars and other special projects with others in the community to build team efforts.


What is the Doña Ana County - City of Las Cruces Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC)?

The Doña Ana County – City of Las Cruces LEPC (DAC-CLC LEPC) was established to meet the requirements of the Federal Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act, also known as the Superfund Amendment and Reauthorization Act. The main purpose of an LEPC is to plan emergency responses and protect the community from the potential impact of natural or technological hazards and related disasters.

The DAC - CLC LEPC is comprised of dedicated volunteers from city, county and state governments; local industries and organizations; medical facilities; educational systems; emergency response personnel and concerned citizens.

How Can You Help The Doña Ana County – City of Las Cruces LEPC?

• Participate as an active member by attending the monthly meetings.
• Provide your expertise or resources to the membership.
• Participate on LEPC subcommittees.
• Give cash contributions from your facility or as an individual donor.
• Donate staff time to perform special projects, assist in planning exercises, perform data entry, etc.
